Check Payments is a payment gateway that doesn’t require online payment. Orders using Check Payments are put on hold until the payment is processed outside of WooCommerce. As a store owner, you should make sure that checks have cleared before handling orders in WooCommerce. It’s essential to confirm that you’ve received payment before shipping an order and marking it as Complete.
Saved Payment Methods
For any payment gateway that supports saved payment methods, these methods can be handled from the account—you can set a default one or delete saved methods. However, these gateways offer enhanced saved methods, which come with a few additional features. First, these methods can use nicknames (like “Personal” or “Business”), making it simple for your customers to recognize the method during checkout. Nicknames can be added by clicking the “edit” option for the method.
Cash on Delivery
Cash on Delivery (COD) is a payment gateway that requires no online payment. Orders using Cash on Delivery are marked as Processing until payment is made when the order is delivered by you or your shipping provider. As a store owner, you need to confirm that payment has been collected before marking orders as Complete in WooCommerce.
